Inverted row and press ups worked through progressions using the smith machine. The Inverted row is brilliant for building a strong upper back without putting pressure on the lower back. Press ups are strength-building total body exercises that work the upper body (chest, shoulders and triceps) and improve trunk strength.

It is so important to keep surprising the body with new challenges, regularly changing the program so that progress does not plateau. I find that the best programs include a combination of high intensity interval training, weightlifting and sprints. Adele's fitness has improved dramatically since using boxing and resistance circuits, she deserves the results of her hard work and commitment. It is also better known for targeting the latissimus dorsi, deltoids and biceps. We have just adapted the exercise a little by including a jump to involve more muscle groups for a more intense workout (5 jump pull ups: 5 bent over rows).
